Terms of Service

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SnipTray application, the sniptray.com website, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by SnipTray (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you (“you” or “the user”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use SnipTray. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

2. Your account and Apple ID

SnipTray uses your Apple ID and iCloud account to provide cross-device sync and team-sharing features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Apple ID, and for all activity that occurs under it. We do not have access to your Apple ID credentials.

If you believe your Apple ID has been compromised, please contact Apple Support immediately and review the security recommendations in your Apple ID settings.

3. License to use SnipTray

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use SnipTray on Apple devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business use.

You may not:

  • Sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer the Service to a third party
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

SnipTray is offered under three plans: Free, Pro, and Teams. Pricing for each plan is published on our pricing page at https://sniptray.com/pricing and may change from time to time, with notice to existing subscribers as set out below.

4.1 Free plan

The Free plan is provided at no cost. It is limited in features as described on the pricing page. You may use the Free plan indefinitely, subject to these Terms.

4.2 Pro and Teams subscriptions

Pro and Teams plans are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or annually through the Apple App Store or our authorized billing partners. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions, or through the SnipTray Settings panel.

4.3 Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Pro subscriptions purchased directly from us. To request a refund, email hello@sniptray.com from the email address associated with your purchase within 14 days of the original transaction. Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are handled directly by Apple under their refund policy.

Teams subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the plan converts to paid; cancel before the trial ends to avoid being billed.

4.4 Price changes

We may change the prices of Pro and Teams subscriptions from time to time. If we do, existing subscribers will keep their current price for at least one full annual billing cycle, and we will notify them by email at least 30 days before any change takes effect.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SnipTray to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
  • Store, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, or to systems or networks connected to the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Your content

SnipTray stores the content you copy (“Your Content”) locally on your device, and — if you have enabled iCloud sync or team sharing — in your private iCloud container. We do not have access to Your Content, we do not read it, and we do not transmit it to our own servers. You retain all rights to Your Content.

When you share a pinboard with teammates via iCloud, you grant those teammates the access level you assign (viewer, editor, or admin) for the duration of the share. You can revoke that access at any time.

You are solely responsible for the legality of Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to copy, store, and share it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, designs, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, and other content provided by us (excluding Your Content), is owned by SnipTray or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Apple, macOS, iPadOS, iOS, iCloud, iPhone, and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. SnipTray is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE THAT RESULTS FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SNIPTRAY, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR (b) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SnipTray and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including for a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 — will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SnipTray is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
